Aluminium 1050 is a commercially pure aluminium grade containing 99.5% aluminium, with trace elements of iron (0.4% max) and silicon (0.25% max). This high purity gives it excellent corrosion resistance and thermal conductivity. Aluminium 1050 forgings exhibit moderate strength with a tensile strength of 65-95 MPa and a yield strength of 30-45 MPa, depending on the temper. Its elongation at break can reach up to 40%, offering good ductility. The material’s excellent workability makes it ideal for applications requiring formability and high conductivity.
