Aluminum 5754 angle is a non-thermal alloy made primarily from aluminum, with magnesium as the major constituent (2.6–3.6%). It also contains trace elements such as manganese (0.5–1.0%), chromium (0.05–0.2%), silicon, iron and copper. This alloy is known for its excellent corrosion resistance and excellent weldability, especially in marine environments. Mechanical properties of aluminum 5754 include tensile strength of 200 to 290 MPa, yield strength of 150 to 220 MPa, and elongation of 15–25% Its hardness is usually between 50 and 75 HB.
